The
Surgery Centre received accreditation from the Swiss
Medical Federation
(FMH) in July 1993, and was further assessed and approved in June
1997. He was reconfirmed as such in 2006. Our team undergoes
continuous training to ensure the highest standards of routine and
emergency care.
The Centre consists of offices for pre- and postoperative
consultations, an
operating room, a smaller treatment room equipped with two lasers, and
two
rooms for day surgical care. The operating room is equipped to hospital
standards. It contains all the equipment necessary for cosmetic, plastic
and
reparative surgery, including facilities for general anaesthesia and
recovery. The two day-surgery rooms are fitted with three beds, and
provide
complete postoperative care under the supervision of a nurse qualified
in
anaesthesiology. When a patient leaves the Centre we ensure that he
or she
is in the charge of a member of their family or a close friend. Should
emergency treatment ever be needed, the Lausanne University Hospital
(CHUV)
is a mere 100m away.
